Darlene Decker
Administrative Assistant

Darlene came to work at the District Office in the spring of 1989. Prior to moving to Nova Scotia from Ontario she worked at the head office of CIBC in Toronto and later at Northern Communications in Brampton, Ontario. The Administrative Assistant duties have changed and increased over the years as the needs and technology evolved but this has helped to keep things interesting. She is married with four boys, two of which are now married and has three grandchildren which keeps her busy after work hours as well as being actively involved with her local church.

Dorothy Burns
Administrative Assistant

Dorothy Burns is an Administrative Assistant at the District Office. She has been employed here since 1998, originally serving as the personal secretary to the Executive Assistant and then in 2001 as administrative support for the District Superintendent. Prior to her position at the District Office, she worked in the tourism industry. She enjoys spending time with her family and chocolate.

Gillian Blomsma
Administrative Assistant

Gillian Blomsma joined the team at the District Office in January of 2011. Gillian is from Quispamsis, NB and is a graduate of Master’s College and Seminary. Previously to coming to Truro she spent time working in South Korea, was the youth and children’s pastor in Woodstock NB, assisted at Kings Way Assembly, was interim worship pastor in Bible Hill and has filled in preaching and worship leading at Garnett Settlement, NB. Gillian enjoys reading, writing, and playing her guitar. One day she dreams of going to Australia and attending the worship night at Hillsong Church in Sydney.
