Rev. Doug Moore

Doug was born and raised in Saint John, New Brunswick. Upon high school graduation he attended Bible College where he met Marie. They were married after graduating and accepted teaching positions with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Newfoundland. After teaching for three years they entered pastoral ministry. For fifteen years they served congregations in Staten Island, NY; Syracuse, NY; and Carlisle, PA with the Assemblies of God. While pastoring ,Doug also held a variety of positions with the Assemblies of God in both the New York and the Pennsylvania/Delaware Districts. He had the opportunity to serve as a chaplain with the NY Sheriffs Department and was involved with Para-Church and Ministerial positions.
Doug was called back to the roots of his youth by the PAOC Maritime District Executive with an invitation to pioneer an assembly in Quispamsis, New Brunswick. By this time church planting had become a part of his life passion. A ministry highlight for him was the blessings of seeing previous congregations give birth to new congregations. So, this invitation from the PAOC was an easy decision. Doug and Marie along with their four children began their planting ministry in September 1989. They served the congregation of Kings Way Assembly for 14 years before being invited by the District to accept the position of District Superintendent. The position he has held since August 2003.
