Helen MacMinn

I was born in Bathurst, N.B., raised as an only daughter in a family of five children. After graduating from Bathurst High School I moved to Moncton, N.B. where I completed a full secretarial training. My spiritual journey began in a family who were devoted Presbyterians. One evening after listening to a Word of Life radio broadcast, when I was 14 years of age, I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Saviour. It was about six years later while living and working in Moncton, N.B. that I received the baptism of the Holy Spirit in a service at Glad Tidings Church. Interestingly many years later in 2001 I was also ordained to the Christian ministry under the P.A.O.C. in an ordination service held in Glad Tidings Church. It is notable that the call to missions became clearer and stronger after being filled with the Holy Spirit. In 1967 I graduated from E.P.B.C. with a diploma in ministerial studies. After a short time in full time church work in Montreal, Quebec I secured a job in an international trading corporation in Montreal, Que. In 1974 I received missionary appointment to Kenya and have served in various capacities up to the present. During this period I also continued my education completing a BTh in 1992 and an MA degree in 2005.
Responsibilities
At present I am serving the Lord at Pan Africa Christian University where, from time to time, I have been teaching on campus courses but my main responsibility and joy in service is in directing the PACU Transformational Church Leaders (TCL) Development Program which takes place in centres established all over Kenya. This is in keeping with a deeply heartfelt sense of calling to take the teaching of God’s Word to the grass roots level. It is rapidly expanding with over 370 students now registered in the program since January 2007 and God is confirming his Word with signs of the Spirit’s work in lives. In the TCL Program students take courses leading to a Certificate or Diploma in Christian Service and Leadership. Another area of involvement is in coordinating a Child Care Plus program in Western Kenya. I also have a responsibility to continually express gratitude to God for his call, his enablement and the privilege of serving Him in Kenya along with much thankfulness for those he has raised up in the P.A.O.C. Maritime District as prayer partners and supporters.
Maurice and Maureen Potter

Maurice and Maureen were born and raised in Newfoundland, Canada. They married in 1986 and were living in Ontario at the time. Maurice worked as a dental sales rep while Maureen worked for the Toronto Dominion Bank for many years. In August 2000 they embarked upon their missions calling to the field of Ethiopia. They spent one year in Ethiopia and then moved down to Kenya to work with Pan Africa Christian College. The appointment was for two years and in the end stayed for three years. During their appointment at PAC Maurice completed his BA in Bible and Theology. On January 1, 2003 the miracle of Jordan Riley came into their lives in Nairobi, Kenya after waiting 16 ½ years! Upon completion of this three year assignment they were then reappointed to Lilongwe, Malawi to work with the Bible college and also the Child Care Plus Program. Maurice had the amazing opportunity during those three years of obtaining a MA in Ministerial Studies. In July 2007 their three year appointment came to a close and returned to Canada for a six month home assignment. In January 2008 they relocated to Nairobi, Kenya to once again work with Pan Africa Christian University!
Responsibilities
Maurice’s primary role is working with the Transformational Church Leadership Program (TCL). TCL is under the umbrella of Pan Africa Christian University and serves those who are not able to attend the university for various reasons. It enables individuals to study outside of the university setting and provides training on the certificate and diploma level. As this program is growing rapidly and expanding to new areas, the vision for the future is to set this program up in Juba, Sudan and as well the Congo! In addition to giving oversight and direction to TCL, Maurice will be teaching both here at Pan Africa Christian University and its extension campus’ in Uganda, Zimbabwe and Zambia.
Maureen is serving in the area of directorship of the Child Care Plus program in Kenya. This program has various aspects some of which are individual sponsorships of children, the Ngei School feeding program and the Happy Life Baby Orphanage as well as others. In addition to this role she will also be giving a number of hours per week to the finance/administration offices at Pan Africa Christian University.
Jordan Riley turned five on January 1, 2008 and will begin his journey of school life in mid-August at Rosslyn Academy ~ he is very excited and is anxious to be a “kindergartner”!
Lisa Kaye

Lisa was born in Amherst, Nova Scotia, and was raised in Moncton, New Brunswick. She is a member of Glad Tidings Church in Moncton where she has been in attendance since 1986.
After graduating from high school, Lisa took 2 years of a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of New Brunswick – Saint John. She then went on to pursue a diploma in General Bible with an emphasis in missions from World Harvest Bible College in Columbus, Ohio.
Lisa first felt the Lord calling her into overseas missions when she was 16 years old. It wasn’t until she went on a short-term missions trip to Senegal in January 2004 that she felt that God had finally opened the door for her to live overseas permanently. Before returning to Canada, she had an interview with the assistant director at Dakar Academy and was offered a position beginning in the fall semester of the following school year. She returned to Dakar in August of 2004 and has been ministering on the campus of Dakar Academy since that time.
Lisa is currently working full time at Dakar Academy as cashier/receptionist. DA is a school for missionary children (MKs) with approximately 225 students enrolled. Although the majority of the students at DA are MKs, there are also business and embassy children enrolled at the school. Lisa enjoys her administrative tasks because it gives her the ability to reach out not only to the staff, students and parents but also to the community and the national staff on campus. Since she is fluent in French, Lisa also has many opportunities for translation. What she enjoys most about her ministry at Dakar Academy is spending time with the MKs through mentoring, Bible studies, youth group, evangelism outreaches and dorm relief.
