Women’s Ministry

WM Coordinator DiAnne L. Dupont

WM Coordinator DiAnne L. Dupont
My ministry journey began a few months after Jesus came in my life in 1973. I had , and still have many opportunities to serve Jesus: Sunday school teacher, Women Ministry committee, Worship Leader, Worship Team Leader, Secretary, Housekeeping, Babysetting, Translation, Mission Department, Short Term Mission Trips, Assistant Pastor, and Speaker( Seminar on Abuse). They all contributed to build my faith, my character and my love for God and his people.

T oday I have the great honor and privilege to serve the ladies in our District as the Women ‘s Ministry Coordonator. I thank the Lord for the ladies that br ought us where we are and those working with me on the committe to go farther. I’m scared considering my language limitations, but I’m so excited to think where God will lead us . I know he will bring us closer to Him, closer to our sisters and closer to the younger generation, for the glory of His name.

I’m not alone in this boat (ministry), my husband Noël, who’s the perfect match for me is a great support and comfort in every adventure in my life. We have three awesome boys, and we are blessed with our daughter in law and very proud of our six grandchildren.
I enjoy reading (Rivers, Thoene, biography), cooking (Ricardo, the best!), studying, and spending time with my friends in spite of my busy schedule. I love creativity and uniqueness. I love Butterflies because they talk about transformation and freedom.

National Conference Ottawa January 23-25, 2009

We had our National Conference Gen2Gen in Ottawa and the ladies that attended were blessed. Our National theme Beyond Ourselves was launched and many speakers encouraged us to live beyond ourselves. Marilyn Skinner, this energetic missionary was a living example to live beyond ourselves and Marie Miller gave us a picture to live a shared journey through Naomi and Ruth, sharing experience and energy. Each of us could go beyond themselves to connect with the other generation. It is time to see us as part of the family rather than look at other in term of age.

Our WM Retreat 2009 in Truro reached his goal considering 80% of the attendance was from Nova Scotia. We were blessed in many ways and are looking to improve in every possible aspect in 2010 in Moncton, NB.

I hope many will come to our 1st WM Camp Evangeline Day July 18, 2009. We are looking to have fun please don’t forget your hat it is mandatory if you have gloves make them match your outfit…

We are preparing our 1st WM Short Term Mission in Romania, September 30-October 14, 2009. Judith Mac Leod, Florence E. Way, Laura Poirier and I will go to minister to gypsy kids, women, teen Challenge, etc. under the ministry of Dan & Mardie Mac Tavish and Jennifer Lee, our Canadian missionaries. We need your prayers from preparation until adaptation at home. We are following the command of Jesus to GO and make disciples. For all who supports Thank You, we will share the reward all together, those who pray, give, support are as important than those who go. It’s a team work.

November 13, & 14, 2009, we will have a Retreat in Port Hawkesbury, NS for the whole area.
November 18 & 19, 2009, your WM committee will meet in Truro to plan for 2010.

In the meantime, enjoy your summer, your vacation time and don’t miss the opportunity to be like Jesus. Let’s all aim to do Beyond Ourselves.

Boum boum boum boum,

DiAnne L. Dupont
WM Director
