Board Matters is a bi-annual newsletter designed specifically with church boards in mind. Each of our District churches is sent a packet of printed newsletters for the Lead Pastor to distribute to their board or council. Credential Holders are also sent a copy.

A transitional coach is offered to each church in pastoral transition to support, encourage, and assist the search team throughout the pastoral selection.
The Pastor communicates their intentions with board and District Office.
Initial orientation with the transitional coach and set in motion the farewell for outgoing pastor. During the final service the transitional coach is present for a ceremony of release.
Foundational to the search process the church begins a self study which outlines history, values, vision, ministry and community dynamics.
The completed self study will be given to each prospective candidate to prayerfully consider.
Establish Search Team
The search team will be put in place who will carry the responsibilities of the search in the local church context.
References & Research
The search team will receive resumes and pastoral information forms and begin their research on each candidate. Interviews will then lead toward extending an invitation to a 'call weekend.'
A weekend event is created to give the congregation opportunity to interact with the candidate and family prior to the Sunday business meeting and congregational vote.
The transitional coach or district representative will arrange a time to be with the congregation for an official induction of their new lead pastor.
